Vasque dug into the archives to revive its classic Clarion boot for Fall ’19. In its late 80’s heyday, the Clarion achieves cult status with unique styling and cushioned comfort, but 30 years later the challenge of giving today’s consumer a reason to care loomed large. Time and budget were tight, so our team developed a quick-hitting activation that sparked excitement for the online-exclusive release.

Working in cooperation with Vasque’s PR agency, JAM Media, we created a custom unboxing experience for advanced product seeding with journalists, industry insiders, and influencers. The retro-inspired unboxing experience was tailored for organic social sharing that stood out in crowded feeds and sparked a flurry of sales that exceeded forecasting as soon as the boot dropped.

DELIVERING AN 80's-INSPIRED CARE PACKAGE TO FANS


As part of the project, we created custom packaging filled with goodies, including a pair of Vasque Clarion '88 GTX boots, a timeline of the style, and custom illustrated stickers and patches.
